Running on Compressed Air - Is this our Life Saver?

My daughter works for Green Peace. She rants about the issues plaguing the planet and I listen, frustrated that there was ever a need for advocates to fight so hard to save the world we live on. But what bothered me the most, after hearing her talk about a number of alternative eco-friendly automobiles proposed, is that the powers-that-be just won't allow it to be. Listen to the objections made regarding bring this car to market. If you're concerned about the planet you'd try hard as hell to perfect this machine and replace the gas polluting vehicles on our roads.

Hello I drive a car which needs 3 litres diesel per 100 km. I think people should only use as much car as they need. Big isn't chic any more.

Hello Patricia, welcome to blogging. It is an entirely new world for me too, but I am enjoying it. You might want to visit our "writing" blogs. Happy blogging.

Hi Patricia, I'm going to let your kill me now, cause we are planning on buying a big son-of-a-bugger of a truck. Something that will move three horses and/or the hay they need. It'll be diesel and hard on fuel. I figure we may drive it about 1000 km per year, lol. We are looking into fuel alternatives for a very small first vehicle, so you only need to half kill me, lol.

Magdalen ... that's really ok because fuel is intended to be used. My opinion is that you do what you have to do, with consideration of the consequences. At least you're thinking about the alternatives. Most people don't care enough to look into it.

It is an interesting idea. However, producing lots of compressed air to fill the cars still takes a lot of energy.

However, it is MUCH greener than the hybrid cars that will all soon be dumping tons of heavy metals and acids into the environment when those batteries need to be replaced.

In all reality, in the final count, hybrids add more pollution to the atmosphere than our fuel sucking gasoline models do now. I won't have one.... This sounds interesting though!

The big question is "Why haven't the GREEN manufacturers or GREEN movers and shakers done more to bring this product to the US?" I believe such a car is not in the plans for this coming global take-over.
